Standing at 518 feet, 9 inches high, weighing 2586 tons construction began on 29 September 1891. The Tower was first opened on 14 May 1894 with an entrance fee of 6d (2.5 pence).Blackpool Tower was another seaside feat of Victorian engineering and has always been known for its' quality entertainment. It has recently been restored to its' former glory.
